Senior Vice President, Chief Sustainability Officer, Wight & Company

Lois is a public policy advisor and has participated in the development of policies to lessen the negative impacts of the built environment on the health of people and on our natural resources.

Internationally, Lois is a Sustainable Designer for Kuwait Gulf Oil Corporation in Kuwait. Besides her work as a practicing architect, Lois is adjunct faculty at Northwestern University where she teaches sustainable construction. Her portfolio consists of more than 80 LEED projects. Lois is Wight & Company's Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO).

In her capacity as Wight's CSO, Lois is responsible for setting sustainability goals for the company's business practices and for its practice paradigm. In addition, Lois acts as a resource to all projects pursuing LEED certification and facilitates EcoCharettes for all of those projects. Under her guidance, Wight has also established a Sustainability Standard to set a minimum threshold for sustainability for projects not pursuing LEED certification.
