Christina started her interest in issue advocacy, civic engagement, and electoral campaigns over 13 years ago as a communications and grassroots organizing intern for MARAL Pro-Choice Michigan, the Michigan affiliate to NARAL Pro-Choice America. Since then, she has worked for numerous issue advocacy groups, like Planned Parenthood of Michigan and Common Cause Michigan electoral campaigns.
As the Senior Director of Public Policy and Public Affairs at the Michigan Nonprofit Association, she worked with nonprofits of all types and sizes to position civic engagement and advocacy as central to their mission. She was the Michigan deputy political director for President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. She is currently the State and Local Campaign Manager for the U.S. Green Building Council; where she works with state chapters to develop and implement advocacy campaigns.
